Overview & Highlights

Nestled in the heart of Tenggulunan, Pasuruan, Warung Lesehan Pak Sholeh stands as a beloved East Javanese culinary gem that has carried the rich flavors of traditional Indonesian cooking for decades. This charming eatery, found along Jl. Ahmad Yani in Tunggul Wulung, is a must-visit destination for anyone eager to immerse themselves in authentic, home-style Javanese flavors.

The star of the menu here is undoubtedly the ayam goreng kampung — free-range chicken expertly fried to a perfect golden crisp, then marinated and glazed with a subtle yet savory soy sauce, delivering a tender, juicy bite that lingers delightfully on your palate. Many patrons, like D. R. Meisani and Sanes Keluarga Cemara, praise this signature dish for its consistent quality and approachable price point, with a single piece going for just 55,000 IDR. It’s a culinary experience that feels both indulgent and deeply rooted in local tradition.

Beyond the delicious chicken, the warung offers other signature delights such as pecel terong, a unique dish featuring tender eggplants smothered in a rich peanut and kemiri (candlenut) sauce — a rare find that guest Hayudiah Masruri raves about. Complementing these dishes is the special traditional drink, beras kencur, a refreshing concoction made with rice and aromatic ginger, which perfectly balances the savory flavors and adds a soothing touch to the meal.

The dining atmosphere embraces an inviting, casual lesehan style where guests sit comfortably on mats, soaking in the warm and cozy environment. As Elis D highlights, the view and setting create a relaxed vibe that perfectly frames the enjoyment of traditional dishes. It’s a place where family and friends gather, stories unfold, and each bite feels like a celebration of Javanese culinary heritage, making it an ideal spot for lunch or a hearty meal with loved ones, as Nurul Anggraeni warmly recommends.

While the warung’s charm is undeniable, some visitors note that the space can get crowded, especially on weekends, and the service might occasionally feel a bit laid-back. Nonetheless, the affordability and consistently delicious offerings more than compensate, inviting patrons to come back time and again. A small practical tip from Ary Putra: prepare cash, as they accept no cards or digital transfers, staying true to their traditional roots.

Whether you opt to dine in and embrace the bustling atmosphere or take away a flavorful meal to enjoy elsewhere, Warung Lesehan Pak Sholeh promises an authentic taste of East Java that resonates deeply with locals and travelers alike. It’s more than just a meal — it’s an experience steeped in history, flavor, and heartfelt hospitality that invites you to savor not just food, but also a piece of Indonesia’s soul.

One of iconic culinary in Pandaan, especially with its ayam goreng. It has two stalls the first one is in Pandaan and the other is in Karanglo. Price is reasonable only 55k for 1pc of chicken. Special drink is beras kencur. You can take away too.

The menu is nice and the view also nice. It's cozy place to enjoy the traditional food
